Whistler Partners is pleased to announce the placement of Caroline Cherkassky as a partner in Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe's Technology Companies Group. She will be based in the firm's Santa Monica office.
Caroline advises emerging and high growth companies throughout their lifecycle, as well as venture funds and other investors, with expertise in VC financings and corporate governance matters. She sits on the board of the Los Angeles Venture Association and most recently served as co-chair of the Venture Capital and Emerging Growth practice at Stubbs Alderton & Markiles.
Josh Pollick, co-head of Orrick’s global Technology Companies Group, expressed that the firm "launched our Santa Monica office with the goal of bringing the best of Orrick’s holistic tech company approach to Los Angeles. Since day one, this team has been on fire, and we’re thrilled to add a talented rising star like Caroline."
The placement was led by Josh Bilgrei, Managing Director at Whistler, who said that he is "thrilled to have been the matchmaker between Caroline and Orrick. I have known Caroline for years and she is a personable, hard-working, and entrepreneurial attorney and is a great fit for Orrick. It was a pleasure for our team to work with Orrick's executive and recruiting teams again, helping them add yet another partner to their Technology Companies Group. Looking forward to helping Caroline and Orrick continue to build and grow in SoCal and nationwide."
