Max CantorWhistler Partners is pleased to announce the placement of Max Cantor as an Emerging Companies Partner in Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe's technology practice, in their New York office.

Matthew Gemello, global leader of Orrick’s corporate practice, said in a statement that “Max is a rising star in the emerging tech and VC ecosystem in New York. We are delighted to have him join our team, which is experiencing client demand on the East Coast and globally like nothing in recent memory."

The placement was led by Whistler's Founding Partner, Sean Burke. Sean emphasized that "recruiting for 15 years, you get a good sense for who is partner material, but it's not always easy to tell which attorneys will be originators, beyond just making partner. I knew right away with Max that he'd be an originator - he was always scrappy and good at sales, in addition to being a great attorney.

"I'm so thrilled to watch his career blow up, see him make partner early, and to have a small hand in it as his recruiter. 's a great fit for him and I'm excited to see what he accomplishes there."
