Whistler Partners is pleased to announce the placement of Laura Lariu as Partner in Orrick's Technology Companies Group in their New York office. She joins from space innovator Relativity Space, where she served as General Counsel and helped lead the company through a period of transformational growth.
Laura has represented a wide array of emerging growth companies throughout their lifecycles, from formation through financing rounds and eventually to exit, including public offerings. She has also represented numerous investors, including Tiger Global. Laura is primarily focused on venture capital financings, corporate governance, equity incentive plans, M&A, formations, secondary transactions and listings.

The placement was led by Sean Burke, Founding Partner of Whistler Partners, who said that he "met Laura at a TechGC event and she was good people. We hung out at the event not thinking we would ever necessarily work together. She circled back a month later because she had been struggling for months to find a government contracts attorney in southern California for Relativity Space, and we helped her on that in-house search. And when she wanted to go back to private practice, I was honored to get the call. I have no doubts that she'll do incredibly well on Orrick's platform."
