Whistler Partners is pleased to announce the placement of Andrew Roeder as a partner in Goodwin's Private Investment Funds practice. He will be based in the firm's Boston office.
Roeder "counsels both established and emerging sponsors across a wide range of investment strategies, including venture capital, growth equity, private equity, and private credit, as well as assisting sponsors in connection with negotiating and launching separately managed accounts, alternative investment vehicles, co-investment funds, and other bespoke investment arrangements."
In a statement released by Goodwin, Mandee Gruen, co-chair of Goodwin's Private Investment Funds practice, said that “Drew’s extensive experience with fund formation and operations, particularly in the venture capital space, will be invaluable to our clients... He adds meaningful depth to our strong global bench of venture capital and other funds lawyers as we continue to support clients in this dynamic market sector.”
The placement was led by Tad Gruman, Managing Director at Whistler, who said that he was "excited to be able to make the match between Drew and Goodwin. Goodwin continues to be a leader in Boston's growing tech sector, and I couldn't think of a more perfect platform for Drew's venture capital, growth equity and private equity focused practice. Congratulations Drew, I'm looking forward to seeing what you accomplish at Goodwin."
