Nicole Naples circleWhistler Partners is pleased to announce the placement of Nicole Naples as the General Counsel at Obligo, the proptech startup that rids renters and landlords of the burden of security deposits and paper checks.

Nicole was previously the Vice President, Custom at Tailored Brands, Inc, and brings with her a unique blend of big firm, in-house, and business management experience.

The move was led by Whistler's Head of In-House, Kathleen Mon, who worked closely with Obligo's Co-Founder and COO, Omri Dor, who emphasized not only the need for a skilled practitioner, but also an attorney who was a great cultural fit. "I’ve seen that when hiring a GC, often what distinguishes the RIGHT candidate from others is really not found in a resume; it’s not just the mix of experience, seniority, or other credentials. It’s the intangible qualities of who the person is as a human, inherently, and not just what they do or how they work as a lawyer.

'It goes without saying that Nicole is a smart and capable professional; it was also great that she had both legal and business-side experience.  But ultimately what sets her apart is her genuine concern for those around her, and her desire to always leave things better than she found them. I’m so glad that the team at Obligo saw her for precisely that."
