Sean spoke to Business Insider reporter Jack Newsham about the recent hiring trend of Canadians moving to US Big Law firms, with 31 lawyers having done so thus far in 2021 (to put that in perspective, only 28 "made the same move in 2020, 35 in all of 2019, and 25 in all of 2018").

Sean said, "if you're a Canadian lawyer doing a private-equity deal, it's the same clients. They use the same forms. So why are you working the same hours or maybe a little bit less, but you're getting paid two-thirds?"
