But don't be fooled by the country music reference. Although an Oxford, Mississippi native, Virginia has no great love for country music, unless it's Dolly Parton or Johnny Cash. She escaped the 'Sip and traveled to her namesake state to attend Washington & Lee University. After school, she moved to Richmond where her dad told her to "get a job within a month or come home." After working in the dirty world of advertising, then cold calling for a supply chain solutions company in Nashville, she finally joined the world of recruiting - tech recruiting that is.

During the pandemic, Virginia decided to permanently escape the Nashville world of hot chicken (too hot?!), honkey tonks and thunderstorms and drive cross country with her yellow mutt Lady to the balmy beaches of San Diego. After a year of tech recruiting there, she was recruited to join Whistler by an old family friend, Tad, over his famous Tad and Tonics.

With her background in sales and tech recruiting, Virginia brings a unique perspective to her role at Whistler. She enjoys exploring all that San Diego has to offer, whether it's hiking trails, surfing, playing tennis, or drinking Coronas in Mexico.

Funniest quote from a relative:

"My grandmother always tells me I have a “hollow leg” which means I can hold my liquor well."

TV show you don't want to tell the public you watch:

"Call the Midwife, or any Masterpiece Classic on PBS. I love dark, witty British humor."

If you got to pick, what would your drag name be?

"Queen Virgaliciou$"
