Whistler Partners is partnering with a leading crypto-focused investment platform to hire a Legal Counsel to join its growing legal team.

The firm recently closed its fourth fund at approximately $650M and continues to be one of the most active and well-regarded investors in the digital asset and blockchain ecosystem. The platform invests across early-stage, growth, and liquid opportunities, working closely with founders building next-generation financial and infrastructure systems.

The legal team is lean and high-impact, currently consisting of two senior attorneys supporting the business globally. This hire will report directly to a senior member of the legal team and work closely with leadership, including the COO (a former lawyer), on a wide range of strategic matters.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-ownership legal role within a top-tier crypto investment platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Support venture and growth-stage investments across the platform’s portfolio
• Advise on startup, venture capital, and strategic transactions
• Partner with internal stakeholders on deal execution and portfolio company matters
• Provide legal support across crypto-native and blockchain-related investments
• Collaborate with senior legal team members on fund-related and structural matters
• Engage with founders and external counsel on transaction execution and negotiations
• Contribute to the development of internal legal processes within a lean team environment
  
  

About You

• 3–5 years of corporate / ECVC / growth equity experience at a top law firm
• Strong foundation in venture capital and startup-side representations
• Experience or strong interest in crypto, blockchain, or digital assets
• Fund formation experience is helpful but not required
• Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving environment with high ownership
• Strong drafting, communication, and judgment skill
• Outstanding candidates at the 2nd or 6th year level will also be considered.
  
  

Compensation

• $250,000 – $300,000 base salary
• Plus $15,000 – $30,000 bonus
• Plus $200,000 – $300,000 in carry participation (subject to standard vesting)
