Whistler Partners is pleased to announce the placement of Marla Izbicky in Thompson Hine LLP's Privacy and Cybersecurity group in their Chicago office.
Marla has extensive experience advising U.S. and international companies on a wide range of privacy and cybersecurity issues. She counsels emerging and established businesses on dynamic privacy laws, including the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, CPA, VCDPA, and other emerging state privacy laws. She also helps them integrate “privacy by design” into their operations by drafting public-facing privacy policies, terms of service and internal privacy frameworks. Marla also negotiates business associate agreements to comply with HIPAA privacy regulations and data privacy addendums to comply with the GDPR.
The placement was led by Taylor Miller of Whistler Partners, who said that "Marla came to me wanting to make a switch from a hybrid corporate/privacy practice to a pure privacy one. She had been extremely entrepreneurial about building up an expertise in the space and bringing in clients, and we wanted to find her a larger platform for her to continue to grow her practice.
