Healthcare Transactions Associate [Junior] @ Practice-Leading Platform

Boston, New York, DC [Hybrid]
$225,000+

A nationally respected, cross-functional healthcare group seeks a junior corporate associate to pivot into the healthcare space—or build on complex contracting and M&A experience—in a high-growth sector. You’ll join a team known for long-standing client relationships and the ability to deliver commercial, regulatory, and transactional advice in equal measure.

Why this role?

Jump into hands-on deal work within the healthcare payor and pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) ecosystem, with real mentorship and cross-office collaboration from day one. Expect meaningful client exposure, internal mobility, and high visibility across a group that partners closely with compliance, data, and litigation professionals.
You’ll work across commercial contracting and M&A—drafting and negotiating vendor service agreements, PBM arrangements, and healthcare-specific transaction documents—while developing regulatory skills through research, audits, and compliance strategy.

Top Requirements

  1. 1–3 years of experience in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, or healthcare M&A
  2. Prior work with or exposure to healthcare clients preferred
  3. Strong writing and organizational skills; comfort managing fast-moving deal flow
  4. JD from an ABA-accredited law school; admission (or eligibility) in NY or DC
  5. Genuine interest in long-term specialization in the healthcare sector

About Whistler Partners
Matchmakers, Not Headhunters

Whistler Partners is a boutique matchmaking firm focused on counseling the best and the brightest attorneys over the course of their careers. We believe that the right move comes from working closely with talent to curate their long-term career paths. When it comes to career advice, what matters is not the size of the agency but the strength of your individual recruiter.

We readily admit that we are elite and only work with the best – after all, a little elitism is okay when it comes to your career. Employers love us because we are picky about whom we represent, and attorneys love us because we get them their dream jobs.
