### ECVC Counsel @ Practice-Leading Platform

##### New York, Los Angeles [Hybrid] $420,000 – $435,000 (for class years 2017–2018)

A Chambers-ranked venture practice is seeking a counsel-level attorney to lead financings, guide founders, and mentor junior attorneys. Your mission: shape the next generation of tech, consumer, and life sciences startups—while accelerating your own path to partnership.

**Why this role?  
**Work with market-shaping startups and elite VC funds from formation through exit. You’ll lead Series A–C rounds, complex M&A transactions, and secondary sales with direct client ownership from day one. This is a counsel role built for leadership—not just execution.

You’ll supervise juniors, drive structuring conversations, and operate as a trusted advisor to founders and investors alike. With alumni in GC seats and firm partnership on the table (no old-school gatekeeping required), you’ll step into a practice that moves talent forward, not just deals.

And with offices in NYC, Palo Alto, D.C., and NJ, you’ll have national reach and flexibility—without sacrificing boutique-style support and reputation.

**Top Requirements  
**You have 7–8 years of corporate experience, ideally within a strong ECVC or startup-facing practice. You’re confident running deals, managing closings, and advising on growth strategy. Prior experience mentoring juniors is key, and admission in NY, CA, DC, or NJ is preferred.
