Managing Counsel-Digital Assets & Emerging Technologies

New York [Hybrid]

While Whistler Partners is deeply entrenched and committed to the startup/venture ecosystem, we also know that the risk required to take a chance with emerging companies isn’t for everyone. The thrilling world of digital assets and emerging technologies is nothing if not inclusive, and we’re glad to be working on an opportunity for experienced crypto/blockchain attorneys who require a sophisticated and stable opportunity. This established investment bank’s enterprise Digital Assets unit focuses on the development of solutions and capabilities to help their clients address growing and evolving needs related to the growth of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies. This managing counsel role will work closely with the business team to advise on these activities as well as on the bank’s core digitization strategy, including analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain and other technologies. Also partner with risk, compliance and legal colleagues to define and advise on future state digital asset services, including the multi-asset digital custody and administration platform for traditional and digital assets such as cryptocurrencies. The preferred candidate will have at least 4 years of experience advising on technology transactions, and at least 1 year of experience in blockchain matters with a strong understanding of the cryptocurrency and broader digital assets market (and associated risk and liabilities). Finally, knowledge of laws governing banking, payments and other financial services strongly preferred (but not required). #LI-KM1 #LI-Hybrid
