About the Role:
As the Associate General Counsel, you'll report directly to the CLO and serve as a strategic legal partner to internal teams. Flex your generalist capabilities as you work on a wide variety of legal matters, ranging from securities filings to real estate, IP, financing and more.
Responsibilities:
Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams on all legal and regulatory developments affecting the business.
Stay up to date on relevant energy laws and regulations that effect a public company.
Address legal risk in business-centric ways, developing processes to solve problems, strengthening partnerships, and advancing opportunities
Prepare, review and draft various agreements, including lease agreements, power purchase agreements, membership interest purchase agreements, development agreements, consulting agreements, and complex commercial agreements.
Perform due diligence in connection with solar acquisitions and negotiate financing facility documentation and tax equity transaction documentation.
Liaise with local utilities and municipalities on various permissions and approvals relating to the provision of clean energy
Continuously improve legal processes to help scale the legal function.
