About the Role:

As Product Counsel, you will work directly with the Head of Legal and Pipe’s legal team to support Pipe’s product and engineering teams on a range of growth and strategic projects. This individual will own primary responsibility for ensuring that product teams are able to ship their products and features with sustainable legal risk in a highly regulated environment. This role will also support a number of significant cross-company initiatives, including compliance with new laws and regulatory developments, and is a great opportunity to be the first product-focused counsel in an exciting, fast-paced environment working on novel issues.

Responsibilities:

● Coordinate and collaborate across Pipe’s product, engineering, compliance, finance, sales, marketing and business teams relating to product development ● Effectively communicate and build relationships cross-functionally with various stakeholders to tackle new legal questions and reach creative solutions ● Counsel the product team and other stakeholders on legal, compliance and regulatory issues related to the development of various products and services throughout the product development and implementation lifecycle ● Draft commercial and intellectual property agreements and disclosures affecting the company's products and services ● Remain up-to-date on relevant securities and technology laws and regulations to ensure compliance therewith ● Provide legal support, analysis, and interpretation in connection with legislative and policy developments ● Collaborate with outside counsel and synthesize legal advice for various decision-makers across the organization ● Special projects as needed -- Pipe is a fast-growing startup, and the legal needs are constantly evolving
