About the Role:
As a newly minted "unicorn" with backing from some of the biggest players in the financial industry, our client is looking to expand their legal team with a Senior Counsel. You'll report directly to the General Counsel as his right-hand, tackling a wide variety of legal issues from commercial and strategic transactions and product counseling.
Responsibilities:
Support the development, management, implementation, and continuous improvement of legal and risk-management processes and procedures
Advise on a wide variety of commercial transactions
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements
Manage day-to-day interactions with business partners and outside counsel
Act as a trusted advisor to the Business Development, Finance, Operations, and Sales teams
Address legal risk in business-centric ways, developing processes to solve problems, strengthening partnerships, and advancing opportunities
