The candidate for the Legal Counsel - Sales position is an attorney with excellent legal judgment, strong analytical skills and a working knowledge of the financial services industry. You will be part of a team that provides front-line guidance and support to all areas of the company and contributes to the decisions that impact our growth. You must be comfortable working in a dynamic work environment, have the ability to handle multiple projects from start to finish, and be able to communicate clearly with a wide variety of audiences. They're looking for a creative, problem solver that wants to work on the complex issues and novel processes that are core to DriveWealth’s mission. The focus for the role will be to support the sales process to maximize efficiency in facilitating pipeline agreement review and conversations. The role will be responsible for negotiations with partner firms and work closely with sales, integration teams, compliance and regulatory to negotiate new arrangements with partners.
Work closely with compliance, product, and technology to advise on legal issues surrounding new product features, workflows, and marketing Analyze and provide guidance on relevant rules, regulations, and trends impacting the financial services industry Negotiate complex agreements Produce creative solutions to regulatory challenges in sales process Draft corporate documents, contracts, and other agreements, disclosures, and forms Proactively engage and work alongside FINRA, the SEC, and liaise with other regulatory bodies Manage special firm initiatives with a team-oriented approach Effectively communicate with different firm groups to monitor and manage business, operational, and organizational risks Handle due diligence and other regulatory requests Navigate jurisdictional issue
