About the Company:  About the Role: The candidate for the Legal Counsel- Regulatory/Product position is an attorney with excellent legal judgment, strong analytical skills and a working knowledge of the financial services industry. You will be part of a team that provides front-line guidance and support to all areas of the company and contributes to the decisions that impact our growth. You must be comfortable working in a dynamic work environment, have the ability to handle multiple projects from start to finish, and be able to communicate clearly with a wide variety of audiences. We want a creative, problem solver that wants to work on the complex issues and novel processes that are core to DriveWealth’s mission. The focus for the role will be to help progress strategic objectives in new launches of products. The role will work closely with our compliance, regulatory, product, sales, and technology teams on new product rollouts across the firm through creation of new agreements, disclosures, etc. Familiarity in following areas are a plus -- options, mutual funds, 40 act, securities lending, introducing brokerage. Responsibilities: Work closely with compliance, product, and technology to advise on legal issues surrounding new product features, workflows, and marketing Analyze and provide guidance on relevant rules, regulations, and trends impacting the financial services industry Negotiate complex agreements Draft corporate documents, contracts, and other agreements, disclosures, and forms Proactively engage and work alongside FINRA, the SEC, and liaise with other regulatory bodies Manage special firm initiatives with a team-oriented approach Effectively communicate with different firm groups to monitor and manage business, operational, and organizational risks Handle due diligence and other regulatory requests Navigate jurisdictional issue About You: Law degree and admission to New Jersey, New York, and/or other bar admission A minimum of four years relevant legal experience in a regulatory or legal environment Substantive knowledge in financial services and applicable U.S. laws and regulations related to broker dealers, investment advisors, and banking Excellent business judgment, oral/written communication, and interpersonal skills The ability to take ownership over your work and thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment Comfort navigating complex and enthusiasm for taking on new challenges associated with scaling a company Perks:
