Noom has engaged us to help them find an exceptionally talented Senior Employment Counsel to join their lean but growing legal team. You’ll be an early, foundational member of the employment counseling function, acting as subject matter expert and point of contact for employment, hiring, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging functions at Noom. You’ll support Noom’s people, talent, and international teams with their legal and compliance needs, giving advice and making sure that Noom is complying with applicable employment and regulatory regimes in the US and internationally. You’ll work directly with our AGC, as well as with senior leaders from across the company. What you’ll be doing: Serve as a lead advisor for Noom’s People, Talent, International, and other teams, helping build scalable and effective processes for legal review as business grows Provide legal advice across a variety of subject areas, including employee classification and contingent workforces, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and general compliance matters Draft, revise, and counsel on employment policies and process guides and other employment related documents Partner cross-functionally to identify and evaluate business and legal risks and find creative ways to mitigate them while achieving business goals and pursuing opportunities to scale Stay up-to-date on on hiring plans and international expansion, regularly meet with teams to maintain alignment Develop strategies to scale legal support as business grows Your background: 6+ years of employment counseling or comparable experience Expertise in US and international employment matters, including employee classification and contingent workforces, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and general compliance matters Experience developing creative solutions to navigate complex legal issues to both protect the company and drive Noom’s business forward What makes this job amazing: You’ll be helping millions of people lead healthier lives every day You’ll have wonderful benefits including healthcare/dental, wellness budget, daily gourmet meals prepared by our onsite chefs, onsite yoga, annual technology upgrade allowance, and more You’ll experience huge learning & professional growth opportunities.
