Technology relies on the genius of software engineers and builders achieving their goals; this tech enables the people behind it all to collaborate and put their minds together. The CEO/co-founder of this post Series B Y Combinator company wants a forward thinking lawyer to join his senior leadership team. As VP Legal, your mandate day 1 will be to work closely with the sales team to accelerate revenue, and work cross-functionally with a strategic lens to improve and help build-out the company’s operational infrastructure. In other words: be a true business partner - not just legal. You should have a “do-er” mindset, and will have the support of and manage outside counsel to start. Eventually, you’ll leverage your in-depth knowledge of the business to build out a high-performing in-house legal team. Successful candidates must have a demonstrable track record of negotiating and closing SaaS/on-prem transactions with major enterprise customers, resellers, vendors, and technology partners. Ideally, you’ll have a combination of law firm and in-house experience in the tech industry. Sharp analytical skills coupled with effective communication with all types of counterparties is essential, as well as an innate desire to be a problem-solver and process improver. #LI-KM1 #LI-Remote
