Job Overview
We’re looking for a talented general counsel to become our first in-house legal leader—building our legal function from the ground up and shaping the framework that will support our next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide solutions-oriented legal guidance across the business that balances speed and risk.
2. Build and scale the legal function with a priority focus on commercial matters, leveraging a second commercial counsel hire for your team.
3. Design and rol out legal processes, templates, and policies with strategic and cross-functional goals, including employment & HR, data privacy, IP, and potential M&A activities.
4. Guide our expansion into new markets and help navigate an evolving data ecosystem.
   
   

About You

1. J.D. with stelar academic credentials
2. Admission in good standing to the New York bar
3. 8+ years’ experience across a top law firm and in-house
4. Background in SaaS business and/or high-growth startups
5. Proven leadership and mentoring skils
6. Startup-savvy, pragmatic, and excited to build from scratch
7. Ability and desire to work at our NYC office ~3 days/week
