Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity to join a top-tier Legal & Compliance team as an AI / Emerging Technology Attorney, advising on the firm’s enterprise-wide adoption of artificial intelligence.

The role sits at the intersection of technology, law, and business strategy, requiring a commercial mindset and the ability to navigate evolving legal and regulatory frameworks in real time.

You will partner closely with investment professionals, technologists, and business leaders to help design and implement AI solutions that advance the firm’s objectives while mitigating risk.

This role is ideal for a 5–8 year attorney who is intellectually curious, highly analytical, and interested in shaping how AI is deployed within a sophisticated financial institution.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on the legal and regulatory implications of AI adoption across a wide range of business functions.

  • Partner with investment, business development, and technology teams to identify barriers to AI deployment and develop practical solutions.

  • Review and assess AI-related initiatives, including tool approvals, vendor relationships, data usage, and integration into existing workflows.

  • Support the development and ongoing refinement of the firm’s AI governance framework.

  • Contribute to forward-looking work on emerging topics such as agentic AI and evolving regulatory expectations.

  • Help establish policies, procedures, and internal systems to support compliant and scalable AI usage.

     

About You

Required:

  • You have 5–8 years of legal experience at a top law firm, asset manager, or financial services / fintech platform.

  • You bring a strong commercial orientation and are comfortable making risk-based decisions in a fast-moving environment.

  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across technical and business teams.

  • You demonstrate rigorous thinking, strong judgment, and attention to detail.

  • You have experience operating in complex, high-performance environments with demanding standards.

 

Preferred:

      • In-house experience in a product counsel or general advisory role.

      • Experience advising on AI-related matters or integrating AI into your own workflows.

      • Experience drafting policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.

      • Strong project management skills and a collaborative mindset.
