About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced recruitment or project manager with killer instincts, a strong work ethic, and an entrepreneurial spirit. As our In-House Counsel Recruiting Manager, you’ll play a critical role in scaling and supporting the in-house side of our business, ensuring that our team is always delivering the A+ level of service that we’re known for.

You’ll also be a main point of contact for certain in-house clients and will be responsible for leading in-house counsel searches from start to finish. This is a full 360 recruiting role that would include client relationship management as well as sourcing and screening candidates, scheduling interviews with the client, and navigating the offer process.

This is a tremendous growth opportunity, with a potential path towards leadership and becoming a strategic head of Whistler’s in-house search business upon proven success.

 

Key Responsibilities

Maybe not all the below from day one, but we expect that in a short period of time, you will:

  • Provide operational project leadership, direction and insight to our team of recruiters and sourcers to ensure the effective execution of all in-house client engagements
  • Ensure that the performance of our recruiters and sourcers is optimized and meets key performance metrics
  • Oversee our bid/no-bid process, making strategic decisions about the clients that we take on
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for multiple high-profile in-house clients
  • Lead hiring calibration calls and gather feedback from the clients and candidates and adjust sourcing parameters accordingly
  • Drive the offer process, acting as an advocate for clients in order to ensure an acceptance
  • Partner with clients to develop effective job descriptions, interview processes, and candidate assessments as needed
  • Track and analyze relevant metrics to provide insights to clients
  • Represent Whistler as a brand ambassador and evangelist
  • Establish consultative relationships with clients, developing a deep understanding of their strategic objectives and hiring needs
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional, ad-hoc projects as needed and assigned

 

 

About You
  • 5+ years of recruiting or project management experience.
  • Bonus points if that experience is BigLaw or startup adjacent.
  • Superior interpersonal sensitivity, judgment and professionalism.
  • Tech savvy. No luddites please.
  • Creative out-of-the box thinker. We’re trying to build the legal recruiting shop of the future, and we want your input.
  • BA/BS degree; JD would be a huge plus, but not required
