We just about fell out of our chairs when we heard the specs for this venture GC role, so hopefully you’re sitting down…
The small close-knit team behind this fund has invested in about 100 early-stage disruptive companies. The approach of this team, having been start-up founders themselves, is to support and partner with world-class founders to help them change industries, including Web3, FinTech, No-Code, SaaS, Gaming, and Digital Health.
As their General Counsel and first legal hire with 4-7 years of relevant experience under your belt, you’ll have the chance to establish a legal framework to manage the fund's legal and compliance needs. Work with the management team, investors as well as founders. If you’ve lead deals and investments (majority and minority) from LOI stage – including structuring, diligence, negotiating and drafting – through closing, AND have the audacity to ramp up leading everything else legal in the daily life of a venture fund (with the support of outside counsel), then this is for you.
The chance to go directly from BigLaw as a senior associate to a general counsel role at a growing venture fund comes along once in a lifetime. And this rare career-making in-house role doesn't come with a huge pay cut. Can you say zero downside?
