This family of crypto and blockchain startups does everything from decentralized social media, to telehealth services, to philanthropy. While most of the startups are early-stage, all of them are internally-capitalized and some already have significant revenue, either through physical securities services or node sales. Coming off a string of successes, their CLO has given us the green light to help him build out their legal team, with six new legal hires!

About This Role:

As a Corporate Counsel, you'll work on a wide variety of legal matters for a growing number or portfolio companies in the blockchain space. Beyond negotiating contracts, advising on M&A transactions, and handling the day-to-day legal needs of growing startups, you'll also get great cross-functional exposure, working with marketing, sales and products teams, as well as senior leadership. This is a junior role that can serve as your entrée into the world of blockchain, with plenty of opportunity for mentorship from attorneys who are veterans of the space.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted advisor on all legislative and regulatory developments affecting the business
• Advise on M&A transactions and other strategic initiatives 
• Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide variety of commercial agreements to meet business and legal requirements
• Support the development, management, implementation, and continuous improvement of legal and risk-management processes and procedures
• Manage day-to-day interactions with business partners, outside counsel, and other stakeholders
• Provide corporate governance support, including preparing corporate resolutions and meeting materials
• Address legal risk in business-centric ways, developing processes to solve problems, strengthening partnerships, and advancing opportunities
  
  
  

About You:

• JD with bar admission in good standing in at least one jurisdiction
• 1+ years of corporate legal experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house
• Former blockchain or crypto experience is a huge plus but not required
• Interest in blockchain and crypto is a must!
