Whistler Partners is pleased to announce the placement of Bret Vallacher as partner at litigation boutique Massey & Gail LLP in their Washington, D.C. office.

Prior to joining Massey & Gail, Bret served as a Trial Attorney for the United States Department of Justice, where he gained substantial trial and appellate litigation experience in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, constitutional takings, employment, bid protests, and international trade. Prior to his time at DOJ, Bret spent multiple years in private practice at both Boise Schiller and Jones Day.

The placement was led by Karen Vladeck, Managing Director at Whistler Partners, who specializes in the placement of litigators. "When Bret decided to explore the possibility of going back to a firm, a boutique was the obvious choice,” said Karen. "Large companies are increasingly turning to litigation boutiques, like Massey & Gail, because they're more efficient and their attorneys often have more trial experience than their BigLaw counterparts.

"Bret was drawn to Massey & Gail specifically because of its reputation for handling high-stakes, complex cases, as well as its busy trial docket. I'm honored to have been able to make this match, and I’m looking forward to seeing what Bret and Massey & Gail achieve together.”
